Thomas Bird

Programs: Refugee and Immigrant

Thomas is a program associate whose work focuses on serving detained immigrants and immigrant victims of human trafficking. He performs client intake and client services, including the collection, preparation and management of case information and coordination with organizational partners, law enforcement and detention facilities. Thomas supervises the Refugee and Immigrant Program's interns as well as co-managing The Advocates' organization-wide internship program.

Prior to working with The Advocates, Thomas received a Master of Public Policy from Central European University and the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and Spanish and Portuguese Studies from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
