The Advocates for Human Rights and the Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library are pleased to present the area premiere of “Border Echoes: The Truth Behind the Juarez Murders”.  This new documentary, produced by Peace at the Border Films, tells the story of the slayings of girls and women in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico through the eyes of investigative reporter Diana Washington Valdez.  Filmmaker Lorena Mendez-Quiroga and producer Shay Moore will be in attendance to discuss the film after the screening, along with The Advocates Education Program Associate Ann Theisen, who conducted interviews with women’s rights advocates and the migrant community concerning the femicides in Juarez.
