Women and children from Central America continue to flee unabated domestic and gang violence in Central America's Northern Triangle region. And the U.S. government has not let up on its practice of detaining families and expediting processing their cases. Two years ago, The Advocates and others began taking on these challenging and complex claims for protection. Many of The Advocates' volunteers answered the call for help. This CLE aims to share lessons learned from the victories and challenges these cases have presented with hopes to inspire a new wave of volunteers to help refugees seeking protection.
Light refreshments will be available.
3 CLE credits will be applied for.
