While the case did not receive as much publicity as others in cities such as New York, Ferguson, Baltimore, and Falcon Heights, MN, the death of Dontre Hamilton generated much community response and an evolving conversation between Milwaukee's citizens. The film intimately follows, Dontre's mother Maria and older brother Nate, as well Milwaukee Police chief Ed Flynn, to explore the city's response to and legacy of Dontre Hamilton's death.
