Since 2005, The Advocates has hosted a booth at the Minnesota State Fair. Through resource materials and interactive activities, we reach thousands of Minnesotans each year about pressing human rights issues including torture, immigration, and economic and social rights. Our permanent booth is #69 in the Lower Grandstand!
In 2011, The Advocates launched its “I am an Advocate” campaign at the State Fair and will continue the theme in 2012! Find more about our campaign here: http://www.theadvocatesforhumanrights.org/imanadvocate.html.
Are you ready for the 2013Minnesota State Fair from August 22-September 2? The Advocates are always in need of enthusiastic volunteers to help run our booth with staff and engage with our diverse fairgoers!
Please check back as we get more updates!

The 'I am an Advocate' campaign educates the public that we all play an important role in taking a stand for human rights for people in the U.S. and across the world. With innovative programming that addresses the rights of immigrants, women, children, ethnic and religious minorities, and other marginalized communities; The Advocates has been protecting and promoting human rights for over 25 years.
