Be an Advocate for Human Rights by volunteering at the Minnesota State Fair!

Since 2005, The Advocates has hosted a booth at the Minnesota State Fair. Through resource materials and interactive activities, we reach thousands of Minnesotans each year about pressing human rights issues including torture, immigration, and economic and social rights.

Last year, The Advocates launched its “I am an Advocate” campaign at the State Fair from August 25th-September 5th. Our permanent booth is #69 in the Lower Grandstand! Find more about our campaign here: http://www.theadvocatesforhumanrights.org/imanadvocate.html.

The 'I am an Advocate' campaign educates the public that we all play an important role in taking a stand for human rights for people in the U.S. and across the world. With innovative programming that addresses the rights of immigrants, women, children, ethnic and religious minorities, and other marginalized communities; The Advocates has been protecting and promoting human rights for over 25 years.

2011 MN State Fair: We had over 5,000 people visit our booth and engage in our activities about human rights. Thank you to all of our staff, board members, and volunteers who made 2011's MN State Fair a huge success! Please check back for updates on 2012's MN State Fair information!
