Healing through Faith: A training conference for Liberian faith leaders in the Diaspora

The conference is designed to give faith leaders in the Liberian Diaspora key skills to support congregants as the TRC begins public hearings in Monrovia and in the United States. Participants will receive updates about the TRC process in the United States & United Kingdom, may attend plenary sessions on "Forgiveness as a Spiritual Process" and "Key Issues in the Liberian Diaspora" as well as skill-building sessions on

Distinguished presenters for the conference include Liberian community leaders from around the United States, faculty members from Luther Seminary, staff from The Advocates, and counseling professionals from the Center for Victims of Torture.
The Advocates (formerly Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights) is the Liberian TRC’s implementing partner in the United States & UK. Mirroring the TRC’s work in Liberia, The Advocates is leading the effort to involve the Liberian Diaspora in the TRC process.
