“To educate is to believe in change."
~ Paolo Friere
The Advocates for Human Rights has a long history of promoting and defending human rights locally and globally through advocacy, research and education. The Advocates believes that education is one of the best ways to ensure long-term improvements in respect for human rights everywhere. Through The Advocates' Discover Human RightsTM Institute, we provide educational resources and tools to help people learn about and apply international human rights standards in their daily lives, their families, their workplaces, and their communities. We train teachers, students, lawyers, and other social justice advocates about international human rights standards and encourage people to join us in building a world in which the human rights of everyone, everywhere, are respected.
