Film Screening and Discussion - Trafficked in America
Wednesday, April 3, 2019 6:00 PM

Please join The Advocates for a free documentary film screening at Merriam Park Library on April 3, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. We will be showing Trafficked in America, the most recent film by our 2019 Human Rights Awards Dinner speaker and award recipient, Prof. Andrés Cediel. The documentary explores a criminal network that forced Guatemalan teenagers to work on an Ohio egg farm, and reveals how the U.S. government's immigration policy contributed to the exploitation. Our Human Trafficking Legal Case Manager, Andrea Martinez, will lead a brief discussion following the screening. Light refreshments will be provided.
