Case Summary: Mr. A is a Druze man. In 2013, Mr. A left Syria for the UAE to avoid military service because he did not support the Syrian dictatorship or violence. Mr. A stayed in the UAE until late 2024, when his visa was revoked. He believes his visa was revoked because he is Druze. After returning to Syria, Mr. A and his family were taking a bus from Damascus to Suweyda. The bus was stopped by masked men, who threatened to kidnap and kill everyone on the bus. Mr. A and his family were saved by another militia group, but he believes the bus was attacked because the men knew the people on the bus were Druze. If he returns to Syria, he fears that he and his family will be harmed by the new government or by others because of their Druze identity.
