Case Summary: M.O is seeking asylum due to direct, targeted threats to her and her family from a commercial sex trafficking network, after she reported being victim of that network in MedellĂ­n, Colombia when she was 14 years old. The police report was leaked and as a result her entire family were the target of consistent death threats via phone call by members of the trafficking network. As the traffickers had all the contact information of the family, they had to live hiding for several months and eventually had to flee the country.

Theory of the Case: Fear of future persecution by non-governmental actors on account of membership of a particular social group.
