Case Summary: example: Ms. D entered the U.S. in 2021. Her mother passed away when she was 3 months old and her father, a gang member, was never involved prior to her birth or after. Ms. D was left in the care of her aunt, who then moved to the U.S. when Ms. D was around 5 years old, leaving her in the care of a family friend. However, this woman allowed Ms. D to be sexually and physically abused. When Ms. D's aunt heard about the abuse, she and Ms. D thought it would be best for her to come to the U.S.
