Programs: Advocacy

As a Program Associate, Christina designs, develops, and manages web-based training content for staff, volunteers, clients, and partners. She also oversees the website and coordinates the development of new functionality. Her projects include launching the current website, creating the first trainings for The Advocates' Human Rights Training Initiative, and project managing the Upper Midwest Immigration Law Conference.

Christina is drawn to human rights work because she deeply believes in the inherent dignity and equality of every person and is determined to act against injustice rather than simply despair.

Christina entered the field from a humanities background. Before joining The Advocates' staff, she worked as an art museum curator, focusing on increasing representation in collections and programming. Her work included roles at the Weisman Art Museum, the Minnesota Museum of American Art, and the Perlman Teaching Museum at Carleton College.

She earned her PhD in art history from the University of Michigan and her BA in political economy from the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently attending Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she volunteers in the Immigration Clinic.
