Sofia Burke

Programs: Immigration Legal Services

As an intake assistant, Sofia conducts client intake interviews and provides administrative support to the Immigration Legal Services team as they accompany clients through the often lengthy and demanding process of seeking asylum.

Her professional and personal experience both domestic and abroad has instilled in her the power of our shared humanity, a reality that drives her commitment to a career in the promotion of human dignity.  She received her BA in sociology from Boston College.

Sofia previously served as an undergraduate research assistant for the Center for Human Rights and International Justice at Boston College where she conducted interdisciplinary research on the challenges to human rights within the field of immigration, especially those faced by indigenous communities.
