Volunteer Receptionist

Welcoming clients and visitors

Volunteers provide the first welcome to clients and visitors at The Advocates for Human Rights' downtown Minneapolis office.

Volunteers greet clients and visitors, connect them with their staff appointments, and help create a welcoming environment for all who enter our space.

Requirements

Volunteers must be able to get to our office in downtown Minneapolis, sit at our front desk, communicate with staff when appointments arrive, and ensure visitors have refreshments.

Volunteers are needed Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm.

Schedules are made monthly. Volunteers should be able to commit to 2-4 shifts/month for at least a 2-month window. Volunteers can choose a set day of the week or pick the mornings or afternoons that work for them.

Long-term volunteers may be able to work on additional projects while at the front desk.

Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially needed, but a second language is not required.
