16 Days to End Gender-Based Violence: Minnesota's New Sexual Assault Law
Tuesday, November 30
7:00 - 8:00 CST

Please join us for a CLE on Minnesota's new laws on criminal sexual conduct. Over a two-year period leading up to the legislative session, sexual assault survivors joined advocates, attorneys, and law enforcement in a working group. The working group drafted updates to the statutes that reflected a current understanding of sexual violence and exploitation. The Advocates' former staff attorney Kaarin Long represented The Advocates in the work group. On September 15, 2021, the new laws took effect to address various harms that were previously not penalized. The group's report can be found here. View the recorded session on Minnesota's new criminal sexual conduct law and what it will mean for victims and survivors of sexual violence below.
