Make a gift to the future of the Advocates for Human Rights. Help sustain our work to stop violence against women, help refugees seeking asylum, abolish the death penalty, educate some of the world's neediest children, and protect and defend people's human rights throughout the world.
Planned gifts are instrumental in sustaining and expanding The Advocates' work. They significantly contribute to our long-term strength and vitality.
Planning your gift to The Advocates allows you to make a meaningful contribution to our work, while strategically meeting your financial goals.
Which Gift Fits You?
- Leave a gift to The Advocates in your personal will or trust.
It is as easy as adding brief language to your will or trust, such as,"I give and bequeath the sum of XXX dollars ($XXX) to The Advocates for Human Rights . . ." or " "I give, devise, and bequeath (description of asset, personal property, etc.) to The Advocates for Human Rights."
- Designate The Advocates as a beneficiary of an IRA account or insurance policy.
Simply add "The Advocates for Human Rights" as a beneficary of your account.
- Create a Charitable Remainder Trust
When a donor puts property into a Charitable Remainder Trust, the donor continues to receive income from the property during the life of the trust. The Advocates then receives what property remains at the end of the trust. Contact your financial planner to discuss creating a Charitable Remainder Trust benefiting The Advocates.
- Create a Charitable Lead Trust
When a donor puts property into a Charitable Lead Trust, The Advocates will receive income from the property during the life of the trust. When the trust ends, a non-charitable beneficiary then receives full ownership of what remains in the trust. Contact your financial planner to discuss creating a Charitable Lead Trust benefiting The Advocates.
