About the Human Rights Awards Dinner
A time-honored tradition, the Human Rights Awards Dinner is held each year to honor individuals who have contributed significantly to the human rights movement and to The Advocates' work.
Learn about the event, The Advocates' work, and our 2021 honorees in the event program below.
Congratulations to our Don & Arvonne Fraser Human Rights Award recipients: Center for Gender & Refugee Studies, U.C. Hastings College of the Law; Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE), to our Human Rights Defender Award recipient, Darnella Frazier, and to our Volunteer Award recipients: Scott Smith; the Stinson Rapid Regulation Response Team; Dotty Bieurance and Rhonda Phillips; the Immigration Court Observers Leaders Team; and Carrie Brasser.
These outstanding advocates have defended the right to seek asylum, helped individual victims of human rights abuses, documented human rights violations, coordinated grassroots movements, and helped The Advocates adapt to the pandemic. It is our honor to celebrate them on June 24.
The Advocates’ silent auction is now closed. Thank you for bidding!
