(SUMMER 2021 FILLED) Nonprofit Administration Internship

This internship is designed for students who are interested in a career in nonprofit organizations. Interns will gain insight on nonprofit operations by assisting with an array of administrative functions including finance, process development, information technology, and providing general office support. internship is designed for students who are interested in a career in nonprofit organizations. Working with the Administrative team, the intern will assist with a wide variety of duties related to nonprofit management. These tasks may include:

  • Assist with ongoing financial tasks including record-keeping, monthly reconciling, in-kind tracking, and updating records in QuickBooks Online
  • Participate in monthly Finance Committee meetings
  • Contribute to developing office trainings and how-to resources.
  • Help develop and refine office processes and resources, such as manuals and electronic forms.
  • Update office & Board of Director information as needed.
  • Office troubleshooting/IT assistance
  • Assist staff with office equipment such as printers, and help resolve any computer issues
  • Help manage and determine office equipment needs
  • Assist with coordinating office meetings & trainings.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize and manage projects effectively while meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a cooperative, busy, diverse environment
  • Careful attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Office applications required.
Experience in QuickBooks Online preferred.
