Administrative Internship

Location: Twin Cities Metro     Salary: Unpaid     Type: Internship    

Internship Summary

Working with the Administrative team, the intern will assist with a wide variety of duties related to nonprofit management. These tasks may include:

  • Day to day financial responsibilities such as entering expenses and donations into QuickBooks Online
  • Office troubleshooting/IT assistance
    • Assist staff with office equipment such as printers, and help resolve any computer issues
    • Assist with development and management of SharePoint sites
    • Help manage and determine office equipment needs
  • Assist with annual audit and In-Kind Tracking
  • Supplies monitoring, ordering, and general office management
  • Human Rights Awards Dinner assistance with registrations, processes, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with developing new office processes and resources, such as manuals and online forms
  • Assist with office meetings and trainings as needed

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Careful attention to detail and organization
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a cooperative, busy, diverse environment
  • Adaptable to changing office needs and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Office applications
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred

Flexible schedule

Time commitment: 8-12 hours per week during the school year or 10-20 hours per week during the summer
