Sonita dreams of being a famous rapper. But as an Afghan teen living in Tehran, her dreams are dangerous: The Iranian government doesn't allow girls to sing in public, and back home in Afghanistan, she is expected to become a teenage bride. Armed with nothing but passion and persistance, Sonita must risk it all to turn obstacle into opportunity.
A post-film discussion will be led by Advocates' staff.
