Strategic partnerships can effect great change to address violence against women. This session will highlight examples of how international, regional, and local partnerships can create lasting and meaningful change through monitoring, legal reform, and creation of best practice standards in batterers’ intervention programs.
The panel will share examples of international partnerships that have resulted in legal reform and change to combat violence against women and highlight innovative methods used in their partnership. The panel will discuss their strategic partnership to conduct human rights monitoring of violence against women, advocate for legal reform, and conduct country-wide training of system professionals. The panel will use stories and examples from the presenters’ work with time for discussion with the audience.
