United Nations Training Manual on Human Rights Monitoring

This manual, one component of a two-part package of materials designed to assist monitors, contains tactical guidance in the appropriate conduct for human rights monitors and can be ued as a tool to promote human rights education and protection. The manual provides practical guidance for the conduct of human rights monitoring in UN field operations but may also be useful to other human rights monitors. The second component of the two-part package is a Trainer's Guide which includes additional methodology, tips, excercises, and tools for trainers of monitoring practices. The Trainer's Guide can be obtained through the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
