Women Taking Action Against Trafficking

Being held in honor of International Women's Day 2016, this event will examine sex trafficking and how the industry violates the human rights and dignity of women. Rev. Dr. Alika Galloway, co-past of Kwanzaa Community Church in Minneapolis and executive director of Northside Women's Space, will talk about her ministry in North Minneapolis. Also, experts from The Advocates for Human Rights and other stakeholders will be part of a panel discussion on how Minnesota can move forward to create a response to sex trafficking that will empower and protect victims, hold offenders accountable, and prevent on-going harms against individuals.

Free and open to the public.
