The Advocates for Human Rights needs volunteers to help in our downtown Minneapolis office throughout the year.
Mailing volunteers help us reach supporters by hand addressing, stuffing, and sealing envelopes for event invitations. Sign up to be notified when volunteers are needed for these pop-up projects.
Volunteers provide the first welcome to clients and visitors at The Advocates for Human Rights' downtown Minneapolis office.
Volunteers greet clients and visitors, connect them with their staff appointments, and help create a welcoming environment for all who enter our space.
Volunteers must be able to travel to our office in downtown Minneapolis, sit at the front desk, communicate with staff when appointments arrive, and ensure visitors have refreshments.
Volunteer shifts are available Monday through Friday, from 9 am–1 pm or 1 pm–5 pm. Schedules are made monthly. Volunteers should be able to commit to 2 to 4 shifts per month for at least a two-month period. Volunteers can either choose a regular day of the week or select mornings or afternoons that fit their schedule.
Long-term volunteers may have the opportunity to work on additional projects while staffing the front desk.
Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially needed, though speaking a second language is not required.
