Pro Bono Representation

The Advocates mobilizes legal professionals throughout the United States to represent adults, families, and children who are fleeing persecution, torture, and trafficking.

We provide pro bono attorneys with the training and support needed to help people seek asylum, reunite with families, obtain a T visa, or seek release from immigration detention.

Requirements

To represent a client, an attorney:

  • Must have a current bar admission in good standing in any U.S. state
  • Does not need any specialized knowledge or experience in immigration law or asylum law
  • Our clients are located in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Depending on the type of case, remote representation from other states may be possible.
